Larry Johnson Signed with RedskinsMarch 12, 2010 6:13 pm
The Washington Redskins made their biggest free-agent splash Friday night, reaching agreement on a three-year deal with running back Larry Johnson.
The contract is worth $3.5 million and could reach as much as $12 million total with incentives. Johnson will cancel his trip to Oakland and sign instead with the Redskins, a team on which he is expected to work with incumbent running back Clinton Portis. During his visit to Washington this week, Johnson said he envisioned himself and Portis being for the Redskins what he and Priest Holmes once were for the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson, 30, finished last season with the Cincinnati Bengals Category: NFL Tags: Redskins, Washington
